This is an attempt to search for the everyday sexism that goes on in our everyday life, sometimes we do identify them, sometimes we don't. Influenced from the project http://everydaysexism.com/ we have started this initiative to gather more incidents and instances about sexism taking place in India. Whoever you are, whatever your gender is, we request you to post here, as comment, any one incident that you remember as a sexist incident/comment. Let's try to find and gather such instances and let's try to search for the alternative to gender discrimination and sexism.

  1. I was very fond of playing cricket and went to play in the nearby ground with some boys from my locality, when I was in class 7, it occurred to me that things are not going smooth about me playing with the guys in my locality. My mother has been rather a liberal and rational one, she never actually said anything to me, but it was structurally difficult to carry on playing, because I was getting differentiated from my playmates and based on that I was not supposed to play cricket ( well, women play cricket, there are women's cricket matches on TV's also, but if you are talking of a bengali locality in south kolkata, it is still not in the culture)
